MUNICIPAL GROUP OF LEFT XUNIDA LAVIANA CITY COUNCIL, UNDER THE RULES OF ORGANISATION, FUNCTION AND STATUS OF LOCAL

Before the plenary of City Council presented the following MOTION

Local Organizations of the United Left in the Valley Nalón, after analyzing the worrying situation that exists in the Shire, exacerbated in recent months by the dismantling of the main productive sectors, with the consequent loss of jobs with unemployment figures reaching the people in the Valley 6644; Langreo 3932, Samartín 1581, Laviana 1032, 40, and Casu Sobrescobio 59. Figures which put us in a disturbing picture that shows the failure of the restructuring policies implemented in the Valley Nalón. We understand the need for the involvement of all sectors and social partners in the defense of employment and creating dynamics for reactivation. We need a new plan for the future viability of our entire region.

In this process we can not ignore the status of flagship companies and start-ups, as Wings Aluminium, with a reduction of capital which could lead it in steps of Venturo XXI which is currently in liquidation, Duro Felguera with a harsh record of employment regulation (ERE), which calls into question the continuation of this iconic company and HUNOSA that under the so-called Coal Plan, go to a progressive dismantling final dated 2018, by a European Union directive, no alternatives. All this, together with the situation and difficulties of many small and medium-sized companies based in the region makes absolutely rigorous application of the proposals made.

Therefore, it is submitted for consideration of full approval the following agreement:

• Require the maintenance of employment in key productive sectors of the region, currently engaged in processes that endanger even continuity.

• Fast execution of projects funded miners to slow and halt.

• The Regional Government, more involvement in setting up new businesses in the region. • Rigorous management and control over companies established or start-ups that receive public funds.

• Commitment of municipalities and public corporations in the creation and consolidation of employment stable and quality.

• Finally, Llaviana City Council shall circulate this resolution to the table of mining, all groups of the Principality and the Government of Spain.
