this before the full City Council has the following
MOTION
Izquierda Unida has recently detected the lack of road safety measures in our municipality. We are suffering a number of shortcomings that leads, in many cases, situations may even be dangerous for both pedestrians and drivers. Inadequacy is reinforced by budgetary constraints that have been our council, which as we know everyone is going through a crisis and a difficult financial situation. In our view left also believe that the fines within our council should not have a tax collection effort, but it must serve to correct the bad habits of drivers and harmonize road traffic and pedestrian situation.
Therefore, it is submitted for consideration of full approval of the following agreement:
Fate and application of the proceeds from fines and penalties for traffic measures and road safety infrastructure , , signaling black spots, and include:
- Creating Badenes speed deterrent sensitive areas like schools, sports, children's play areas, etc.
- Repaint all crosswalks who need it within our council.
- Paint all the road signs within the municipality.
- Expansion of signaling play areas and river walk division of paint to leave a bike lane.
- Improved shelters at bus stops.
